A place with two identities: a space with a perimeter border or a cushiony mat.
In the first version, it’s a play area with a well-defined, limited form, leading a group of children to carry out the same activity; or it can be used for non-hierarchical meetings (like all “round tables”).
In the second version, inserting the mat inside, it’s a place for movement and play. The mat is particularly pliable and creates a contrast with the border, which is soft but sturdier, offering the children two different levels of softness and consistency.
